BLOCK OUT - BREAKOUT MAP
For the process of creating this map, I took an old approach with physical prototyping and planning. After finding three layouts, I transcribed these onto paper combining features of each. This is where the different layouts really started to merge and become one cohesive map. I started to design this map trying to keep an old school arena type gameplay in mind and as it continued to develop the central tower became the strong point to hold to get kills. I really enjoyed the gameplay that came out of this geometry! I plan on updating the level and changing it as I have more playtests on it, refining the layout and weapons on map.
